Operations Manager
Job Title: Operations Manager
Location: Portland, OR
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all operational aspects of the warehouse, fleet/logistics, and inventory control functions at the distribution center (DC).
- Hire, train, and manage staff, including drivers, warehouse personnel, and supervisors. Continuously assess and implement training programs to meet team needs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and programs, along with federal, state, and local regulations (DOT, OSHA, FDA, HACCP).
- Oversee inventory utilization, control procedures, and storage requirements to ensure efficient operation and minimize waste.
- Maintain effective communication with all departments regarding operational processes, changes, and updates.
- Be hands-on with daily warehouse operations as needed to support the team.
- Develop and implement operations systems for product handling, storage, receiving, shipping, equipment utilization, and inventory management.
- Analyze workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout to optimize productivity and implement process improvements.
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing safety standards and legal compliance.

- Strong leadership skills to guide and motivate team members across all departments.
- Ability to respond quickly to changing demands and resolve issues efficiently.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in warehouse, fleet/logistics, and inventory control management.
- 3-4 years of management experience in a distribution environment, with direct supervision of teams.
- In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), routing software, and RF scanning/warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Proven ability to manage budgets and control operational expenses.
